Al Mann

Al Mann’s IT experience spans over 28 years.  Prior to co-founding AccessChannel in 2004 (and becoming operational in 2005),  Al held senior executive positions with both distributors and logistics consulting companies.

In 1988, Al joined the Micro D team only to participate in a series of company milestones.  From increased sales, business acquisitions, and big wins, Al was promoted to senior management during the birth of Ingram Micro.

By the late ‘90s he held the position of Senior Vice President of Product Management at Ingram Micro.  Al oversaw a department of over 400 associates and was responsible for all activities relating to Ingram Micro’s 1,500 vendors and 225,000 SKUs.  His contribution to the company was instrumental to helping make it the world’s largest distributor of technology products and services.

In 2000, Al founded AEM Consulting where he provided clients outsourced distribution services and expertise in purchasing strategy, inventory management, and supplier relationships.  Recruited by Pacific Rim Capital to be their Vice President for their technology products and services, Al drove profit growth and enhanced supplier relationships.

Al’s vast years of experience in operating and management, in the distribution channel, allowed him to demonstrate a track record of successfully increasing gross margins, developing and motivating people, minimizing costs and improving efficiency and productivity.  During Al’s product management leadership at Ingram Micro, the company achieved $20B in sales.

Michael Terrell

Michael’s expertise in supply chain management has been a great asset to both Ingram Micro and AccessChannel.  His approach to automating workflow and his deep knowledge of Ingram Micro’s processes enabled him to create and implement customized software that integrates client information into Ingram Micro’s IMPULSE system for AccessChannel.

Prior to co-founding AccessChannel, Michael was Senior Vice President and General Manager of Ingram Micro Logistics.   During Michael’s 10 years of service at Ingram Micro he held the following positions: Vice President of New Products, Vice President of Purchasing EMEA, Vice President of Purchasing U.S., and SVP/GM Ingram Micro Logistics.  Under Michael’s logistic direction, in 2003, Ingram Micro achieved $20B in sales.

Michael jumpstarted his Information Technology career, 30 years ago, with the Byte Shop computer stores (one of the earliest retail computer store chains in the U.S.). In the mid 1980s, Pacific Telephone bought out the Byte Shop business and it was at that time when Michael honed in his entrepreneurial skills and co-founded Microware Distributors Incorporated. The potential of his new business was attractive enough to generate the interest of Synnex and by the early ‘90s, MDI was bought out.

Michael brings expertise in logistics, transportation, operations, and purchasing to our clients. In addition to his stellar academic and career achievements, Michael proudly served our country, as a supply officer, for the United States Marines Corp.
